Fall Updates

Hello again world! My job at Shed Light Studios has kept me busy since leaving college. I’m hoping I’ll be able to make a demo reel soon of the animation I’ve been doing over the last couple months. Most of it has been under the Owlegories franchise, but we’ve got new projects we’re hoping to get off the ground soon!

I recently did a fun technical test for one of the projects. I was experimenting with several methods for a 2d tower that would need the ability to rotate. I wasn’t happy with the purely 2d results, so I ended up modeling and animating the tower in 3ds Max. From there, I took it into After Effects and added the shadow. Although pretty simplistic, it was cool to test out blending 3d and 2d styles.

I’ve also been continuing my part time internship with Adonai Games (formally YHWH Games). Very excited with everything that’s happening behind the scenes on Patriarchs and the Monster Caravan! I’ve been contributing concept art and modeling for a temple that’s in development.

In my spare time, I’m continuing to brush up my 3d skills. I’ve decided to venture into new territory: creature sculpting. Currently following a Zbrush course by the talented Jesse Sandifer and sculpting my first dragon. Still in the very messy early stages of just getting all the parts where they need to be:
