Sargon’s Sprint Minigame
This is a minigame I built it Unity for the upcoming release of Marie Verde's middle grade fantasy book, Sargon the Not So Great. Sargon, a scaly magical creature called a loatron, is blessed/cursed with a special ability to defend himself: the ability to run away really, really fast. Unfortunately, he's a little less blessed in the brakes department. It was fun to make an endless runner game of his mad dash across the medieval countryside.
It's middle grade medieval fantasy, set in a world where magical creatures (called mythicals) live side by side with their human neighbors. When a foul tempered, slightly geriatric dragon attacks his village, Sargon is desperate to protect his home and prove his worth. Not an easy task when you're to doomed to run away the second you lose your nerve.
The book website is going to be updated soon with short stories and more artwork from the world! The book cover by Austin DeGroot releases very soon, and the book itself comes out on Amazon this month.
Art, animation, and programming all by me. Music is from an asset pack by Tyler Cunningham.
